Classic Autosports is a small family run business based in the small village of Inverkeilor in Angus, Scotland.

The company was originally founded by Craig McWhirter and David Barnett, initially to provide an E-type Jaguar Driving Experience for Knockhill, Silverstone, Donington and Croft race circuits. A servicing and maintenance facility was needed to support the track cars, and after much searching "The Garage" at Inverkeilor was found, which not only is an ideal setting for "our old cars" but is conveniently close to David's home.

Prior to forming the company David had a long history of Jaguar XK and E-type experience, going back to 1968 when he bought his first car, an XK140 dhc (for £40!). This started his life long passion for classic sports cars, and in particular Jaguars, which has continued to be the backbone of the business. Although not entirely confined to Jaguars as many beautiful Bentley, Aston Martin, Healey, TR, Lotus, TVR and Porsche and even the odd pre-war Rolls Royce and Triumph has also passed through the Classic AutoSports workshops.

David is abley assisted by his son who is also involved in the day to day running of the business. Gareth's first race at the tender age of 17 was in one of the company's race prepared E-types at the challenging Knockhill circuit.
